The college was founded in 1889 during the period of Khedawy Tawfik and was located in the old Giza Palace, which remains the same site of the college until now. In 1911, its name was changed to Agricultural High School awarding a high diploma in agriculture. Mr. Abdel Hamid Fathy was the first Egyptian dean after 5 British deans. In 1935, the Agricultural High School joined the Egyptian University (Cairo University) to be the first college of agriculture in Egypt and in the middle east. Since that time, the college awarded 35006 Bachelor degrees in agricultural sciences. The total number of students currently enrolled at the bachelor level is about 3000 students.
